CAESAR'S GALLEY

     ROMAN WARSHIP

Roman warships were fearsome weapons and a major factor in the expansion of the Roman Empire. The ships were powered by sails and oars, and armed with the spears and swords of the soldiers on board. Protection was provided by many removable shields along the sides of the craft. A unique "proboscus" on the front of the ship was a reinforced ram often used to spear enemy ships. When an enemy ship remained skewered to the Roman ship, the soldiers leap aboard and engage in hand-to-hand combat.

We build this primarily wood Caesar's galley model in two sizes:

34" long x 23" tall    $2,700  Shipping and insurance in the contiguous USA included. Other places: $400 flat rate.

24" long x 18" tall    $1,900  Shipping and insurance in the contiguous USA included. Other places: $300 flat rate.

The model is made per commission only. We require only a small commitment deposit $500  The remaining balance won't be due until the model is completed, in several months.
